[It happens so fast, a savage dance that his even his quick eyes struggle to track.

A flash, and there's a lance

cutting through the threat to her livelihood

and shouldn't it be so scary, to see her kill with such ease?

The rest of the Skeksis begin to panic

though she pays it no mind

and shouldn't that be so very worrying?

Shouldn't he be afraid? Shouldn't he run away?

Shouldn't he look away from the intense eyes that are locked onto him as she approaches? Shouldn't he recoil from the hands that took a life?

But there's no need for it, when all of those reasons never made him flinch away from another.

In his own world or this one, there are only two things that Akira fears.
This girl is not amongst them.

She falls towards him, but he doesn't feel a killing intent - so his hands reach out to catch her. It feels like she should weigh more, for someone that has so much power, but it's not the strain he expects. She's so much lighter than he thought she'd be.

Akira's voice is trapped in his throat. There's a movement from the corner of his eyes - he thinks he sees a tentacle, not Azathoth's, unknown as an ally or a foe, and before he can confirm it- a hand gently pushes his gaze away from it. Hers. Her face, framed by a curtain of hair, takes up his entire vision.

"Are you my master?"

Laughter is so far from his mind, but a burst of hysteria twists in his gut before it's smothered. A master. His mind jumps to Kawakami, the white and black of the girl's clothes juxtaposed against the black and white of a maid outfit, before he can help it... but surely that isn't what she's asking. He does not know the cost or the weight of whatever it is that she wants. Maybe her mind is as wild as the actions she just took.

But those are the types of people that Akira made some of his closest bonds with. The quirky and the strange, the outcasts and the forgotten. There are things that prevent that tie from being formed but this, too, is not one of them.]

If I say yes... [His voice is slow, soft, neither accepting nor rejecting. Listening, because that's simply a part of who Akira is.] ...will it help you?

[A red thread dangles.

Will it save you?]
