[Perhaps they had both grown more selfish. Chise certainly thought herself so. Or… perhaps hindsight really was important. The growth that one went through could certainly change how they reacted to situations.]

I’m… not sure. I wasn’t there for that timeline… but I heard there was a Somnius thriving without Vaeros. With the dragons returned and the locals happy. [It was all hearsay, in the sense that Chise’s own experiences when the crystal fractured had been so disparate.] But… I wonder why then… all of these disasters, like the world is about to crumble… what else could be the result, if not the fact that maybe this place has become dependent on such a large amount of magic?

[Chise wasn’t as knowledgeable as she wished with this sort of event - she was sure, if Elias was here, he might have had some other advice, or seen things that she couldn’t. But… all she could do was think on what she did know: either possibilities or what she observed.]
