Reiner was absolutely correct, in a way, about why Natsume had chosen to settle where he had. It hadn't entirely been the reptilian urge to seek out a heat source, though his sleepy thoughts had had centered on that. Natsume as a person was the type to trust first unless given a reason not to, and in his dragon form he hadn't picked up anything at all that would warn of malicious intent.

There was also the little spark of joy in Reiner's eyes when Natsume had settled down on him, something that was usually seen more in the small children Natsume occasionally played with. He didn't necessarily have a big brother sense from Reiner- Natsume had no true experience with that- but there was a calmness to the man that was attractive to Natsume when he'd just been woken up.

"You can pet me if you want, I don't mind."

He could feel that large hand hovering over him, after all. In the meantime, one of the cafe's pretty gelfling girls was coming over to see what Reiner would like to order.
