[Eren's natural body heat does well enough to keep him warm day-to-day, but, even for him, this is a little extreme. He only wore his coat today because it was recently gifted to him by Hythlodaeus, and he's feeling rather attached to the thing (aside from that, Hythlodaeus keeps stealing the old one). All that is to say, the weather came as a surprise to both of them. Eren should have known better than Maruki - this happened laster year, too, but with much more warning (Eren adventured into that blizzard intentionally...)
[He scoots closer to Maruki, sitting with his knees up, legs parted. He pulls the man into that space, slipping his arms out of the sleeves of his coat and nudging him to take the sides so he can wrap it around both of them.
[After that, he raises his hand and smoothly slices his skin open with a canine tooth. He doesn't transform, but deep red grooves do splinter out from beneath his eyes, running down his cheeks, all the way back to his ears. Energy crackles around them, steam rising in thicky columns out of Eren's body.
